While I find the idea of the pajama jean interesting, this extra 10 lbs and, more so my lethargy, is getting old. It's "almost spring" time in NH - 60 degrees today, so all the school girls will be climbing over the remaining sidewalk snow banks in flip flops. My flip flops still fit (though no one should have to see these winter feet !), but not many of my pants still do. I've been rotating two pairs of dress pants and one no waist dress for work, and working from home in sweats (hello pajama jeans!) the remaining days of the week.
I'm not much of a dieter, so I cut back on the cheese and crackers and lace up the running shoes to get back in fighting shape. But it isn't just about weight ... I've let work and stress derail me from the plan-- that is, get to Vermont and that simplier life in my 50th year. Like most things in life, executing the plan is two steps forward, one step back ... or in this instance just letting it sit and idle for a while. Perhaps that's important too. Time to recommit, today. Right now.
